Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of various doses of liquid fertilizer the content of NDF, ADF, K and Mg in Taiwan elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum Schumach). This research was conducted at the Experimental Farm Livestock Forage food (HMT) Program in Laboratory Animal Husbandry and NMT on and Soil Science Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya for 5 months ie from march to July 2012. This research used randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 treatments and each treatment consisted of 3 groups as replication. The treatment used in liquid fertilizer dose Co= 0 liters C ha'1, Ci = 1 liters C ha'1, C2 = 2 liters C ha"1 dan C3 = 3 liters C ha'1. Parameters measured were Neutral Detergent fiber (NDF), Acid Detergent fiber (ADF), Potassium and Magnesium. The resultsof of this study indicate that administration of various doses of liquid fertilizer to give effect was not significant (P > 0.05) against content Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF), Potassium and Magnesium Elephant Grass Taiwan. The conclusion, based on the results of the study showed that administration of various doses of liquid fertilizer on Taiwan elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum Schumach) did not affect the content of NDF, ADF, K and Mg.
