Abstract
The purpose of the study was to know the level of the digestibility of fibrous feed supplemented with organic Cu by in vitro. This study was conducted in the Nutrition and Fodder Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University from October to November 2011. This study used Random Complete Randomized Design with three treatments and four replications. Po= Rice straw without supplementation of Cu (control), Pj= Rice straw + organic Cu 0,001 v/w, P2= Rice straw + inorganic Cu (CUSO4) 0.001 v/w. The parameters observed were the coefficients of dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility, and the concentration of N-Ammonia (N-NH3). The results showed that the highest value of dry matter digestibility coefficient was in the treatment of rice straw supplemented with inorganic Cu (P2) which was 91.222% while the highest value of organic matter digestibility coefficient was in the rice straw without treatment which was 74.53%. In addition, the highest concentration of N-Ammonia was in the treatment of rice straw supplemented with organic Cu (Pi) which was 2.13 Mm. The supplementation of organic and inorganic Cu in the rice straw had not affect the coefficients of dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility, and the concentration of NAmmonia (N-NH3).
