Abstract
This research aims to develop an Islamic literacy pocket book which is valid and practical for Islamic spiritual administrators at SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Alai, the resulting pocket book discusses Islamic material focusing on the area of good morals (Al- Mahmudah). The resulting product was developed using the Rowntree model development procedure which consists of three stages, namely the planning stage, the writing preparation stage, and the writing and editing stage. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and questionnaires. Observation is used to observe the various conditions of students who are spiritual administrators in their behavior in the school environment, interviews are carried out in initial studies to obtain data, while questionnaires are used to obtain the results of needs analysis, determine validity and practicality, consisting of 3 experts for validation and 20 respondents for product trial. The results show validation by 3 experts with a percentage obtained from material expert validation of 82.5%, from language expert validation with a percentage of 75%, and finally media expert validation results with a percentage of 85%. The average recapitulation result of expert validation was 80.8%. The practicality of the product was assessed by conducting one- to- one and small group trials with a percentage obtained of 96.5% in one- to- one trials and 93.3% in small group trials. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the Islamic literacy pocket book that has been developed is said to be valid and very practical administrators at SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Alai.
