Abstract

Locus of control merupakan keyakinan individu agar dapat mengontrol peristiwa dalam kehidupanya. Siswa dapat dikatakan memiliki locus of control dilihat dari bagaimana siswa itu dapat memahami jika peristiwa yang dialami dalam hidup merupakan akibat dari perilaku diri sendiri sehingga siswa memiliki pengendalian locus of control, pengendalian locus of control yang dikategorikan baik ialah saat siswa memiliki karakteristik locus of control internal. Siswa yang memiliki locus of control internal yang baik mampu membuat siswa mengontrol ataupun mengendalikan tindakan serta keberhasilan yang disebabkan oleh diri sendiri, ssebaliknya jika siswa tidak memiliki locus of control internal maka dirinya tidak dapat mengontrol serta mengendalikan kendali setiap tindakan dalam kehdupannya serta berpikir jika keberuntungan mempengaruhi kehidupannya atau bergantung pada bantuan orang lain, khususnya di lingkungan pembelajaran atau akademiknya. Subjek pada penelitian ini sebanyak 7 siswa untuk tahapan pilot test dan 46 siswa untuk tahapan tes akhir atau pilot test yang didapatkan secara purposive dengan ketentuan memiliki masalah regulasi diri dari dua sekolah MAN 1 Banyuasin dan SMKN 1 Banyuasin III. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa terdapat 24 item valid dari 58 item pernyataan yang diujikan. Dengan tingkat reliabilitas sebesar 0,846 yang dikategori tinggi dan nilai kepraktisan 75% yang dikategori sangat praktis. Sehingga skala yang dihasilkan ini dapat dijadikan sebagai skala untuk mengukur locus of control siswa yang mengalami masalah regulasi diri.
