Abstract

Agricultural waste is a source of high rough fiber feed that can affect the digestibiJity level of ruminant livestock, agricultural wastes and plantations that can be used as ani mal feed such as rice straw and palm stem, another potential as a source of animal feed is a forage swamp one of them is copper grass (Hymenachne acutgluma). The three sources of feed ingredients when combined can be used as a source of fiber for ruminant cattle combining multiple sources of fiber can be called TMF (Total Mixed Fiber) (Maneerats et al., 2013). Optimization of metabolism in the rumen needs to be done one of them with mineral supplementation that plays a role in increasing rumen microbial activity so as to optimize bioprocess in the rumen. The aim of the research was to study the effect of amoniation Total Mixed Fiber (TMF) utilization with organic mineral supplementation in ration to fiber degestibility by in vitro. The research was held from September to November 2017 at Animal Feed and Nutrition Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University. Completely randomized experimental design with 4 treatments and 4 replications was applied on this research. The treatments were P1 control ration (0 x macro organic mineral Ca, P and S), P2 (0.75 x macro organic mineral Ca, P and S), P3 (1 x macro organic mineral Ca, P and S), P4 (1.5 x macro organic mineral Ca, P and S). Observed parameters were digestibility value of the Crude Fiber, Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF) and Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF). The results showed that the used of organic mineral supplementation in different levels has significant affect (P>0,05) result on all parameters. Its can be concluded that using organic mineral supplementation (Ca, P and S) in TMF basal ration on treatment P4 with level 1,5 x of NRC recommendation (2000) showed the best result on crude fiber digestibility 51,50%, NDF digestibility 48,91% and ADF digestibility 49,78%.
