Abstract

Yayasan Cahaya Maitreyawira adalah yayasan yang bergerak di bidang edukasi, aliran Ikuanisme, dan pendidikan vegetarian. Yayasan Cahaya Maitreyawira berpegangan dalam prinsip ajaran Ikuanisme yang menggabungkan aliran Konfusianisme, Taoisme, dan agama Buddha. Pusat Ikuanisme di Kota Palembang dinilai masih belum representatif dan tidak mampu memenuhi kebutuhan aktivitas para penganut ajaran Ikuanisme. Metode perancangan yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan fungsi dan filosofis bangunan dengan menggunakan konsep penataan tapak hunian tradisional khas China Selatan (Si He Yuan) dan dikembangkan dengan filosofi fengshui dan lima elemen yang menciptakan keseimbangan sehingga dapat merepresentasikan pandangan ikuanisme. Filosofi fengshui diterapkan dalam penzonaan fungsi bangunan di dalam tapak dan dibatasi menggunakan axial planning untuk memperkuat sumbu penataan Si He Yuan. Setiap massa bangunan dibentuk dengan memperhatikan modul Jian untuk menghasilkan kesan simetris di setiap bangunan
