Abstract

PT Pama Persada Nusantara is one of the contractor companies at PT Bukit Asam Tbk. who is responsible for managing the MTBU Site which is located in Lahat Regency, South Sumatra with an area of 2,886 Ha and uses conventional methods with a total of 22 fleets divided into 2 work shifts with an effective time of 21.6 hours. Shift changes are carried out at 3 location points (CS 1, CS 2, CS 3) with a distance of 900 m to 5.4 km measured from the mining front. The results obtained from the simulation using 3 change shift location points were 1,321.70 minutes. The plan set by the company for changing shifts is 1,690 minutes, so it is known from the results of the plan using 3 change shift location points that a time loss of 368.3 minutes is found. This is due to the occurrence of an abnormal cycle because the distance to change shifts is not evenly distributed and there are many queues at the change shift location which is believed to be based on the relatively high idle time of 3,932.48 minutes. For this reason, studies and simulations were carried out using Haulsim 3.6 software, taking into account the time of loss and increase in production. After conducting studies and simulations, it was agreed to add 4 change shift location points as an effort to handle the problems that occurred. This is proven by the change shift time which is close to the plan of 1,642.20 minutes, idle time which is reduced to 1,619.68 minutes and a quite significant increase in production, namely 406.29 tons/day of coal and 5,977.05 Bcm/day for coal. overburden and it is recommended to apply the on the spot prayer method because the simulation results show an increase in production of 203.13 tons/day of coal and 982.07 Bcm/day for overburden, with reduced loss time and an increase in the amount of production that occurs, this proves its effectiveness in minimizing abnormal cycles.
