Abstract

This research is a guantitative descriptive research that aims to determine the ability of mathematics connections of students of class IX.b SMP Srijaya Negara through problem-based learning. The subject of research is the students of class IX.b SMP Srijaya Negara Palembang The academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 29 students. Data collection using a written test consisting of 4 description guestions. Based on the result of research in class IX.b SMP Srijaya Negara Palembang, hence acguired problem based learning on student connection ability 86Y0 of student of class IX.b passed by because the value of ability of student sufficient with the average of student grade IXb is 75. Number of student which is passed in the learning of 25 students from 29 students. Where there are 5 students categorized very good with percentage 17Y6, 2 students categorized good with percentage 7Y2, 18 student categorized enough with percentage 62”6. and 4 student categorized less with percentage 1476. This is evident from the emergence of 3 indicators of student connection ability during the learning process.
