Abstract

Conductive mortar is a type of mortar specifically designed to possess the ability to conduct electricity. Conductive mortar falls under the category of smart mortar. This mortar is engineered with special properties that enable electrical conductivity, something that conventional mortar does not have. Graphite powder can be used as a substitute for fine aggregate or sand. This research utilizes variations in age and graphite powder concentration at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, with a cement-to-sand ratio of 1:2.75 and a water-cement ratio (w/c) of 0.485. Fresh mortar testing includes setting time tests and slump flow tests, while hardened mortar testing includes compressive strength tests, density tests, and electrical conductivity tests. Based on the setting time test, conductive mortar with a 25% GP (Graphite Powder) variation, having an initial setting time of 329 minutes and a final setting time of 555 minutes, showed the fastest setting time compared to other variations. According to the slump flow values, the specimen with a 25% GP variation had the highest flowability compared to the other variations. The density and compressive strength tests on the specimen with a 25% GP variation, after curing in water for 7 days, showed the highest values compared to other variations, with values of 1765 kg/m3 and 9.8 MPa, respectively. The electrical conductivity of the specimen with a 100% GP variation after curing in water for 7 days showed the highest value compared to other variations, amounting to 27060 μS/m.
