Abstract

The aims of this research is to prove the effect of the crossword puzzle learning media on student learning outcomes in economics subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja. This research is a quantitative experimental research using the Nonquivalent Control Group Design method where this design is almost the same as pretest-posstesy control. The population in this research is all class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja. A sample of 71 students taken using the Purposive Sampling technique. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation and test. The data analysis techniques used in this research include the Pearson product moment correlation test, determinant coefficient test, determinant coefficient test, and t-test. The research results obtained tcount > ttable, namely 57.422 > 1.99, meaning Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, Which means there is an influence of the Crossword Puzzle learning media on student learning outcomes. The results of the Pearson product moment correlation test are 1.0217, where this result shows that there is a very strong relationship between the two research variables. The determinant coefficient test result is 1.0439%, meaning that the Crossword Puzzle media hasan effect of 1.0439% on student learning outcomes. It was concluded that there was an influence of the Crossword Puzzle learning media on student learning outcomes in class XI economics subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja.
