Abstract
Toilet training merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan anak untuk melatih anak agar dapat mengontrol dan melakukan buang air kecil serta buang air besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu dan penggunaan diapers dengan keberhasilan toilet training pada peserta didik di TK Pelita Hati. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan teknik purposive sampling untuk memilih 32 responden. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner yang mengukur pengetahuan ibu, penggunaan diapers, dan tingkat keberhasilan toilet training. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji statistik fisher’s exact test. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan ibu dengan keberhasilan toilet training (p value 1,000 > 0,05). Selain itu, tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara penggunaan diapers dengan keberhasilan toilet training (p value 0,068 > 0,05). Meskipun penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan ibu tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan keberhasilan toilet training, pentingnya pendidikan bagi ibu tetap tidak dapat diabaikan dalam proses ini. Selain itu, penggunaan diapers juga tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap keberhasilan toilet training. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi bahwa faktor lain mungkin berperan dalam keberhasilan toilet training pada anak-anak. Kata Kunci : Keberhasilan toilet training, penggunaan diapers, pengetahuan ibu Toilet training is an important aspect in child development to train children to be able to control and urinate and defecate. This study aims to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge and diapers use with the success of toilet training in students at Pelita Hati Kindergarten. This study used a crosssectional design with a purposive sampling technique to select 32 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire that measured mother's knowledge, diapers use, and the level of toilet training success. Data analysis was carried out using the Fisher's exact test. The results of the statistical test showed that there was no significant relationship between mother's knowledge with the success of toilet training (p value 1,000 > 0.05). In addition, there was no significant relationship between diapers use with the success of toilet training (p value 0.068 > 0.05). Although this study showed that mother's knowledge did not have a significant relationship with the success of toilet training the importance of education for mothers cannot be ignored in this process. In addition, the diapers use also did not show a significant effect on the success of toilet training.
