Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan pada topik gelombang bunyi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis menurut Ennis, tes berupa soal pilihan ganda yang dibuat sesuai dengan Indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis. Instrumen soal ini dibuat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa. Tes diberikan kepada 48 siswa dari dua kelas yakni di kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 2. Dari hasil penelitian Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan pada topik gelombang bunyi masih tergolong kedalam kategori sangat rendah dengan persentase pencapaian 77,08% , kategori rendah 16,66% , dan kategori sedang 6,25%. Maka dari itu kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan perlu adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menerapkan metode dan model yang tepat dalam pembelajaran.
