Abstract
Effect Of Aloe Vera Extract And Guava Leaf Extract Supplementation In Drinking Water On The Quail Performance. Quail has good egg production and can produce 200-300 eggs annually. Quail performance is influenced by feed consumption genetics, egg production and conversion value ration. Lack of supplementation in quail causes appetite and egg production to decrease so that the quail's nutrition is not absorbed optimally, this causes a decrease in egg production and high feed conversion value (FCR). Aloe vera and guava leaf are one of the some plants that can be used for supplementation in poultry. This study aims determine the benefits of aloe vera and guava leaves in improving the performance of quail. Parameters observed in this study included feed consumption, egy production (Hen Day) and feed conversion value (FCR). The research has been conducted from December 2022 to February 2023. The research was conducted in the experimental cage of the Farm Studies Program, Sriwijaya University. The design used in the research a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment consisted of R0 (control) not given supplements, R1 supplemented with aloe vera extract (2%), R2 supplemented with aloe vera extract (4%), R3 supplemented with aloe vera (2%) guava leaves (4%), R4 supplemented with aloe vera (6%). The results of this study indicate that the effect of adding aloe vera extract and guava leaf extract in drinking water on the performance of quail was significantly not different (P>0.05) on feed consumption, egg production (Hen Day), and conversion value ration (FCR). The results of the analysis of variance in the best feed consumption in the R2 treatment (4% aloe vera extract supplementation) were 26.43 grams, henday in the R2 treatment was 77.43%, egg production in the R2 treatment was 38,53 grams and feed conversion in the R2 treatment was 3.48. Supplementation of aloe vera extract and guava leaf extract in quail drinking water has been able to improve feed consumption,but has not been able increase, egg production, Hen Day Production and lower feed conversion (FCR). Pengaruh Suplementasi Ekstrak Lidah Buaya Dan Ekstrak Daun Jambu Biji Pada Air Minum Terhadap Performa Burung Puyuh (di bimbing oleh FITRI NOVA LIYA LUBIS). Puyuh memiliki produksi telur yang baik dan dapat menghasilkan 200-300 butir pertahun Performa burung puyuh dipengaruhi konsumsi pakan, produksi telur dan konversi pakan. Kurangnya suplementasi pada burung puyuh menyebabkan nafsu makan dan produksi telur menurun sehingga nutrisi burung puyuh tidak diabsorpsi secara optimal yang menyebabkan penurunan produksi telur dan tingginya nilai konversi pakan (FCR). Lidah buaya dan daun jambu biji merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk suplementasi pada unggas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat lidah buaya dan daun jambu biji dalam memperbaiki performa burung puyuh. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini antara lain konsumsi pakan, produksi telur (Hen Day) dan nilai konversi pakan (FCR). Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2022 sampai dengan Februari 2023. Penelitian dilaksanakan dikandang percobaan Program Studi Peternakan, Universitas Sriwijaya. Rancangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas R0 (kontrol) tidak diberi suplementasi, R1 suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya (2%), R2 suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya (4%), R3 suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya (2%) dan daun jambu biji (4%), R4 suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya (6%). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya dan ekstrak daun jambu biji dalam air minum terhadap performa burung puyuh tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi pakan, produksi telur (Hen Day), dan nilai konversi ransum (FCR). Hasil analisa memperlihatkan konsumsi pakan yang baik pada perlakuan R2 (suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya 4%) 26,43 gram, produksi telur pada perlakuan R2 yaitu 38,53 gram, henday production pada perlakuan R2 yaitu 77,43% dan konversi pakan pada perlakuan R2 3,48. Suplementasi ekstrak lidah buaya dan ekstrak daun jambu biji pada air minum burung puyuh mampu mempertahankan konsumsi pakan tetapi belum mampu meningkatkan produksi telur, Hen Day Production, dan menurunkan konversi pakan (FCR).
