Abstract
The purpose of this research was to know the preference of P. nigronervosa as a bbtv vecktor to species of banana in Palembang and Ogan Ilir. It was conductedin banana plantation in Palembang and Ogan Ilir at April until July 2009. This research was used survey method by making a certain sample areas to collect primary data. Variable observed were only center, plant infected by BBTV, distance banana plant to center result, barrier between center point and infected banana plant, disease incidence and existing of P. nigronervosa. The result showed that there were 10 varieties of banana species found on 50 sample areas, there were Ambon, Gedah, Kapas, Kepok, Raja, Putri, Mas, Nangka, Lilin dan Udang. Banana putrid was the most firequent infected by While kapok and raja were resisten. The distance to center point influented the spreading of P. nigronervosa. The plant with distance less than 10 m was most attacked than other distance. The existence of barrier influented the spreading of BBTV disease and its vector. Plant without barrier fforn center point were most frequently infected than plant with barrier. BBTV. P. nigronervosa found to be more abundant in banana putri. Banana kepok found very rare infested by P. nigronervosa, while raja was free from P. nigronervosa.
