Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is an infrastructure with many sensors connected wirelessly to collect environmental data. Each sensor is equipped with a physical sensor, a data processing unit, and a communication module. The application of fuzzy logic in routing protocols, can improve the energy efficiency and availability of network communication by making intelligent decisions in resource allocation and path determination, supporting dynamic adaptation to network and environmental changes. The results of three simulation tests show an increase in energy efficiency using this method. In simulation 1, the average energy consumption decreases from 0.942–0.962 mJ to 0.224 mJ. Simulation 2 shows a decrease from 0.950–1.111 mJ to 0.347 mJ. In simulation 3, the energy consumption decreases from 1.227–1.514 mJ to 1.007 mJ. This approach is proven to significantly improve the energy efficiency and reliability of WSN communication.
