Abstract
This research aims to get a graph of the relationship between capacity (Q) and head (H), capacity (Q) and water resources (Ph), and capacity (Q) and Efficiency (%) for different diameter of impeller prior to and after doing the cutting (trimming). This is only done research on centrifugal pump type CP 200 maximum capacity (Q) 30 litres/minute, head 20 metres. The research method used was experimental methods, by making the test device then performs data retrieval is needed and do the calculation and get the results in the form of tables and charts as well as the conclusion. Once he did, the study of literature in the research of this thesis is done testing with use of centrifugal pump with suction pipe size requirements used by 1 inch or 2.54 cm. in this final task research do the impeller trimming (pruning of the impeller) twice (12, 95Cm; 12, 90Cm). Changes of relative small pump characteristics due to the trimming done sangan small (0.5 mm), can be seen from the graph obtained showed few changes caused by trimming. We can conclude that the impeller trimming is done on this testing can lower capacity (according to the theory) on each diameter and impeller diameter 12.9 has the capacity of most small value of 1.51 l/s at a speed round N1 debit 1. There is a significant difference between the measurement and analysis of the calculation using the law of Kesebangunan, where the results of analysis of the law of Kesebangunan have a greater value, look at the graph of H vs. Q, Ph vs. Efficiency vs. Q, Q on each diameter impeller, this is because trimming is done not to use machining processes (the use of a lathe), which causes the shape of the impeller are not precision. The result of the measurement head impeller the impeller is larger than the ditrimming who have not ditrimming like in the N1 (2000rpm) for diameter 12, 95cm with a value of 17, 73m, and to the diameter of a passer-by with a value of 15, 75 m, this disebakan because of pressure gauge used less thorough and caused also by the installation of the valve too far away from the pump. The results of this research are expected to enrich the study of centrifugal pumps and usability of cutting impeller (impeller trimming), and can contribute towards knowledge or influence of cutting impeller (impeller trimming) centrifugal pumps.
