Abstract

Frozen shoulder is a condition characterized by shoulder pain and limitation of motion, often interfering with the patient's daily activities and quality of life. The condition has a prevalence of approximately 2-5% of the general population, with patients experiencing limitations in movements such as flexion, abduction and rotation of the shoulder. The level of patient satisfaction in the management of this condition is important to improve therapy adherence and treatment success. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the description of the level of patient satisfaction with the management of Frozen Shoulder at the Medical Rehabilitation Polyclinic of Hermina Hospital Palembang. This research used an observational descriptive design conducted at the Medical Rehabilitation Polyclinic of Hermina Hospital Palembang in the period October 2024. The sample consisted of 27 patients with a diagnosis of frozen shoulder who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were then analyzed using univariate analysis. From twenty-seven frozen shoulder patients, the majority of patients were female (77.8%) and aged productive adults and the elderly (48.1%). Most were not working (81.5%) and had secondary education (59.3%). Patients with a diagnosis of less than one year accounted for 81.5%, and 59.3% of them experienced moderate pain. Patient satisfaction with management was high, with 59.3% satisfied and 40.7% very satisfied. In addition, 29.6% of patients reported a greatly improved physical condition, 14.8% were much better, and 3.7% had a slight deterioration in condition. The majority of frozen shoulder patients are female and aged productive adults and the elderly. Most patients experienced moderate pain levels. The highest mean level of patient satisfaction was in the comfort domain, followed by global satisfaction and effectiveness of management.
