Abstract

The Central Bureau of Statistics of Ogan Ilir Regency is a government agency responsible for collecting and processing statistical data, including the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas). In the process of implementing Sakernas, there are problems that continue to occur, namely the long duration of implementation, the manual data collection system and the limited allocation of resources so that the workload distribution of each resource becomes uneven. This research aims to analyze and improve the business procedures currently used by BPS Ogan Ilir Regency. The analysis was conducted through process validation, time and resource simulation, and recommended business processes, all simulated using Bizagi Modeler. The survey business process was evaluated and improved through the application of Business Process Improvement (BPI) methodology. Businesses and government organizations can improve productivity at the business process level with the help of the Business Process Improvement (BPI) framework. Before modeling the flow of business processes, one of the phases of BPI will be applied, namely streamlining which functions to simplify current business processes to be more optimal in resource and time utilization. Business process modeling can be described with a diagram called Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). The results show that the new business process (to be) requires 27 days, 21 hours, and 39 minutes, while the old business process requires 27 days, 21 hours, and 39 minutes, whereas the old business process (as is) required 38 days and 14 hours. In addition, time savings of approximately 10 days, 4 hours, and 21 minutes are shown in this comparison.
