Abstract
Coal mining of PT Satria Bahana Sarana is carried out using the open pit method. The open pit mining method will produce a depression that will be filled with water when it rains. In the E Banko pit of PT Satria Sarana Bahana there is a void filled with water located in the e banko pit. The void enters the boundary pit in the LOM (life of mine) design, which is right between the void and the pit opening, where there is currently a coal seam. So it is necessary to evaluate the pump capacity for void drying activities so that the drying process can run smoothly. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, the area of the rain catchment area in the void and e banko pit is 42 ha, with a planned rainfall of 129.9 mm, the dominant rain duration is 10.06 hours.. The recommended sump volume to accommodate runoff water is 284542.4081 m3. To overcome the draining activities in the east Asta pit, three MF-385 pumps are required with a pump working time of 20 hours/day.
