Abstract

PT Perta-Samtan Gas (PS Gas) is a company engaged in the medium and downstream sectors of the gas industry. Established in 2008, it is a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) and has shared ownership with PT Pertagas and Samtan Co.Ltd. PT Perta-Samtan Gas is responsible for running two processing plants that produce NGL & LPG. Removal section in a gas processing facility such as PT Perta-Samtan Gas, there are several separation stages to remove various components from the gas stream, such as sulphur, water, carbon dioxide, or heavy hydrocarbons. The process of separating components from natural gas such as amine removal, dehydration, or sulphur removal, can have multiple removal stages depending on the complexity of the facility and the gas being treated. PT Perta-Samtan Gas is designed to extract the optimum amount of natural gas liquids from a combination of gas sources at a capacity of 250 MMscfd available at the SKG-10 Prabumulih Barat gas metering station. The NGL Extraction Plant, located adjacent to the SKG-10 metering station, provides the means to extract natural gas liquids from the gas pipeline. The use of automatic control system monitoring technology can help overcome operational fluctuations and maintain process stability. Furthermore, the 89.6km pipeline that transports the liquids to the fractionation plant must be monitored regularly to ensure that no leaks or obstructions in flow occur.
