Abstract
This research aims to design a temperature monitoring and control system on indoor hydro_LED to increase the productivity of pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) as an agro-industrial crop. The research was conducted from September 2024 to October 2024 at the Faculty of Agriculture Laboratory, Sriwijaya University. The method used is functional and structural and experimental design, with data presented descriptively. There are four treatments, namely, the use of LED Grow Light with 150 watts and 300 watts of power with Digital Thermostat Sensor XH-W3001, and the use of LED Grow Light with 150 watts and 300 watts without Digital Thermostat Sensor XH-W3001. The observed parameters include light intensity, power requirements, electrical energy, temperature, humidity, pH of nutrient solution, Electrical Conductivity (EC), as well as plant production parameters such as plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, and plant fresh weight. The results showed that the use of 300 watt LED Grow Light with a temperature sensor produced the highest productivity of pakcoy plants, which was 10,58 tons/ha. This is due to optimal lighting that is well controlled by the XH-W3001 Digital Thermostat Sensor, which helps maintain the temperature and light intensity according to the needs of pakcoy plants, on the other hand, the lowest productivity in control plants with 150 watt LED Grow Light without sensors, which is 2,99 tons/ha, which is caused by lower lamp power and lack of room temperature control.
