Abstract
Daun salam (Syzygium polyanthum) dan daun mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.) mengandung senyawa flavonoid yang terbukti memiliki aktivitas sebagai antidiabetes. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh formulasi ekstrak etanol daun salam (Syzygium polyanthum) dan daun mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.) yang optimal sebagai antidiabetes. Hasil rendemen ekstrak etanol daun salam sebesar 7,96% sedangkan rendemen ekstrak etanol daun mengkudu sebesar 6,89%. Pengujian aktivitas antidiabetes dilakukan secara in-vitro dengan metode Nelson-Somogyi menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 750 nm. Konsentrasi sampel yang digunakan adalah 275, 375, 475, dan 575 ppm dengan masing-masing perbandingan 0:1, 1:2, 1:1, 2:1, dan 1:0. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa formulasi yang optimal sebagai aktivitas antidiabetes pada konsentrasi 475 ppm dengan perbandingan 2:1 sebesar 70%.
