Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between energy knowledge, energy-saving attitudes, and energy-saving behavior in Physics Education students of Sriwijaya University. With the increasing need for energy and environmental issues, understanding and energy-saving actions are very important. This research was conducted by involving 138 physics education students as respondents. Data were collected using energy knowledge instruments with 10 multiple choice questions, energy-saving attitudes with 9 statements, and energy-saving behavior with 8 statements that have been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis method used in this article is quantitative correlation. The results of the analysis showed that the relationship between energy knowledge and energy-saving attitudes and the relationship between energy knowledge and energy-saving behavior had a small correlation coefficient, while the relationship between energy-saving attitudes and energy-saving behavior had the strongest correlation coefficient of 0.440 and a significance of 0.000. It shows that a positive attitude towards energy saving directly encourages energy-saving actions.
