Abstract

The number of TB cases in South Sumatra continues to increase, with a total of 23,256 cases in 2023. The Palembang City Kampus Health Center is a First Level Health Facility (FKTP) that faces similar challenges, namely the high number of TB sufferers in the area with a number of visits in 2021 of 69 visits, increasing by 276 visits in 2023. This study aims to highlight the input components in TB treatment monitoring, namely human resources, funds, facilities and infrastructure and methods that play a crucial role in facilitating TB monitoring. Qualitative research with a descriptive analytical approach was conducted in September 2024 using in-depth observation interviews with doctors, TB coordinators, laboratory staff and purposively selected cadres. The results of the study showed that TB treatment monitoring was supported by monitoring human resources, but the limited number of health workers and cadres increased the risk of double jobs, adequate financing and infrastructure, and TB treatment monitoring methods that were in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 67 of 2016, but still has challenges in the form of dependence on ineffective WhatsApp communication and patients paying less attention to monitoring treatment cards. The supply of children's medicine also depends on the request of the Health Office. Campus Health Centers can provide education on treatment schedules to patients and PMOs, division of administrative tasks, recruiting administrative staff and special TB cadres and involving cadres to routinely visit patients who are prone to absenteeism from TB treatment.
