Abstract

Problem-solving skills are one of the essential abilities in learning mathematics, including in the topic of the Pythagorean theorem. Problem-solving skills are crucial in the current era of globalization and digitalization. This research aims to develop a STEM-based E-Worksheet (E-LKPD) on the Pythagorean theorem topic that is valid, practical, and has a potential effect on students' problem-solving abilities. This study is a developmental research using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The trial was conducted with eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Lubai Ulu. The instruments used in this research included validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and problem-solving ability test items. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. The results of the expert validation data analysis showed that the STEM-based E-LKPD on the Pythagorean theorem topic achieved an average score of 4.20, categorized as Valid. The STEM-based E-LKPD on the Pythagorean theorem was also categorized as Highly Practical with an average percentage of 85%. Furthermore, based on the test results, after learning with the STEM-based E-LKPD, most students' problem-solving abilities were in the Good category. Therefore, the developed STEM-based E-LKPD has a potential effect on improving students' problem-solving abilities and is recommended for use in teaching.
