Abstract

Salah satu faktor penyebab rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa selain karena matematika dianggap pelajaran yang sulit, adalah pemilihan media belajar yang terkesan sangat monoton dan kurang menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar siswa SMP melalui pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika dengan konteks rumah limas 100 tiang berbantuan media video animasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persentase rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa diperoleh 76,80% yang tergolong motivasi tinggi. Sementara itu, berdasarkan hasil angket diperoleh 3 tingkatan motivasi belajar yaitu, motivasi sangat tinggi, motivasi tinggi, motivasi cukup. Untuk persentase motivasi sangat tinggi diperoleh 14% dengan 9 siswa, motivasi tinggi memperoleh 72% dengan 45 siswa, dan motivasi cukup memperoleh 14% dengan 9 siswa.
