Abstract

This research aims to develop a Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on the Engineering Design Process for the Utilization of Sugarcane Waste as Charcoal Briquettes in Renewable Energy Materials at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja. The research method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D), employing the 4-D model, which includes the stages of definition, design, development, and testing; however, this study is limited to the development stage. Data collection techniques include interviews, validation sheets, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques consist of needs analysis, validity tests, and practicality tests. The results of the study indicate that the developed LKPD is valid, with a content validity score of 96.8% and a design and language validity score of 97.5%. The practicality test results show a practicality score of 75% and 97.6% in a limited trial, categorized as highly practical. Based on the validity and practicality test results, the developed LKPD is declared valid and practical, making it a potentially engaging and feasible alternative learning resource.
