Abstract

This study aims to determine the motives and satisfaction of Sriwijaya University Students. This research uses descriptive research with a quantitative approach to describe the motives and satisfaction of Sriwijaya University Students in accessing the Mahasiswa_Sriwijaya Student Instagram Account. The sampling technique is the Puspossive Sampling method and data collection techniques through questionnaires. The concept used is to refer to the theory of Uses and Gratification by analyzing the gap between motives and satisfaction after using a media. The results showed that there was satisfaction of Sriwijaya University Students after accessing the Sriwijaya Student account. This is because based on the research conducted by the author, there is a gap between the motives and satisfaction of Sriwijaya University Students after accessing the Mahasiswa_Sriwijaya Instagram Account.
