Abstract

Public relations has a very important role in building relationships with printed local media to gain access to information dissemination. The information that will be conveyed to the public or the media must also be accurate, easy, and fast so that the information disseminated has an appeal and is able to be digested by the public. The results of this study are the Public Relations of Palembang BBLK run several strategies to build relations with the media or the press. Among them are implementing persuasive communication and appreciating journalists, providing comfortable press room facilities, organizing entertainment events, and facilitating journalists' access to informants, providing news value-based information, and evaluating and monitoring the media.
