Abstract
Eating habits in adolescents are related to food consumption that includes types of food, amount of food, frequency of food, food distribution, and how to choose food. Final students are also included in the early adulthood phase, which is a period when a person begins to be burdened with responsibilities in determining their future career. In addition to stress, most final students feel bored with their routine as students, so they pay less attention to a good lifestyle, which affects changes in body image. This study aims to determine the relationship between body image perception and stress levels with eating habits in final students at Sriwijaya University. The type of research used is observational analytic with a cross-sectional design. The research sample consisted of 136 students using the Purposive sampling technique. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire to measure variables, namely the Body Shape Questionnaire-16 (BSQ-16), Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10), and Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). Data analysis used the Chi-Square analysis test. The results obtained were 74 respondents (54.4%) who had a positive body image perception, 62 respondents (45.6%) who had a negative body image, 50 respondents (26.8%) who had mild stress levels, 59 respondents (43.4%) who had moderate stress levels, and 27 respondents (19.9%) who had severe stress levels, as well as 60 respondents (44.1%) who rarely ate and 76 respondents (55.9%) who often ate. There was a relationship between body image and eating habits (p-value = 0.021) and there was a relationship between stress levels and eating habits (p- value = 0.033). It can be concluded that in final students at Sriwijaya University, there is a relationship between body image perception and eating habits, as well as a relationship between stress levels and eating habits
