Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the precision and accuracy of the verification of the coal ultimate analysis test method. Coal samples that are still in the form of lumps are ground in stages using a jaw crusher to a size of 10 mm, a hammer mill to a size of 2.8 mm and a cross beater mill to a size of ±0.212 mm, then a fine coal powder is obtained that is ready to be tested. The method used is ASTM D5373-21 and the tool used is CHN Analyzer. Precision is determined by calculating the repeatability value and accuracy by calculating the bias value and percentage of bias from CRM (Certified Reference Material) testing using LECO CRM 502-680. The results of the study showed that the precision of the test method for the Standard Deviation (SD) values obtained were 0.17%; 0.02%; 0.01%, the experimental Coefficient of Variation (CV) values were obtained respectively at 0.24%; 0.46%; 1.67%, the Horwitz Coefficient of Variation (CV) values obtained were respectively 2.11%; 3.05%; 4%, and the 2/3 Horwitz Coefficient of Variation (CV) values obtained were respectively 1.41%; 2.04%; 2.68%. The results of the analysis of the determination of accuracy for the bias value were respectively 0.01%; 0.09% and 0.08% and the percentage bias values were respectively -0.02%; 2.25% and 6.68%. Based on this study, the verification of the coal ultimate analysis test method using ASTM D5373-21 was proven presicion and acurate.
