Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of the work environment and knowledge sharing on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at the Communication and Informatics Office of OKU District. The research employs a quantitative approach using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) for analysis. The sample consists of 46 active employees from the institution. The results indicate that the work environment significantly influences job satisfaction but does not directly affect employee performance. Meanwhile, knowledge sharing does not significantly impact either job satisfaction or employee performance. Job satisfaction is found to have a significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction is not proven to mediate the relationship between the work environment and knowledge sharing on employee performance. These findings provide insights for organizations in developing strategies to enhance employee performance by considering more influential factors.
