Abstract

The implications of counting skills can improve cognitive development, namely in the form of mentioning number symbols, apart from cognitive development, counting skills also have implications for language development, namely in the form of mentioning number vocabulary. This study aims to analyze the effect of the number maze game on the ability to number children in group B at Al-Hikmah Islamic Kindergarten, East Oku The research method used is pre-experimental with a one group pretest posttest design. The sample in this study was class B2 which consisted of 10 boys and 5 girls selected using purposive sampling. The data collection tools used were observation, test and documentation. The data obtained was analyzed using the one-sample t test, it can be seen from the results of the t-test calculation obtained which shows that the value og the t-test where the tcount value ≥ t table where the tcount was 3,09 and the ttable was 1,76. That means that there is an effect of the number maze game on the ability to count children in group B at Al-Hikmah Islamic Kindergarten, East Oku.
