Abstract
Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan konsep pemahaman kimia siswa melalui penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD (Student teams achievement Division) di kelas XI IPA 3 SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang pada materi asam-basa. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus masing-masing siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Penerapan model student teams achievement division di kelas XI IPA 3 SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep kimia siswa. Peningkatan pemahaman siswa terlihat dari makin meningkatnya nilai Gain siklus 1 sebesar 0,369 menjadi 0,506 siklus II dan siklus III meningkat menjadi 0,719. Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa model student teams achievement division dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep kimia siswa.
