Abstract

Instilling the value of honesty from an early age is very important so there must be a method or a medium to instill this value in an interesting early childhood such as animated videos. This study aims to develop and test the validity and practicality of videos about the honesty character of saving to be used as a learning medium in the Indah Mulya Play Group. This research uses the ADDIE method, as for the stages of needs analysis, product design, product development, validity tests and practicality tests to early childhood and teachers. The results of the media validation research obtained a percentage of 92.5% with the category "Very valid", the validation of the material obtained a percentage of 97.5% with the category "very valid", while validation by linguists obtained a percentage of 92.5% in the category of "very valid". The individual and small group trials both obtained a percentage of 100% in the category of "Very Practical". It can be concluded that animated video media with the theme of honesty in saving at school for early childhood has been proven to be valid and practical and can be used as a learning medium in shaping honest behavior for children in the school environment in the play group institution.
