Abstract

Economic growth is one of the main indicators to assess the effectiveness of a country's policies in managing resources and strengthening its economy. This study aims to analyze the effect of carbon dioxide emissions, financial development, and foreign direct investment on economic growth in 6 emerging market countries from 2007 to 2021 using panel data analysis techniques. This study uses secondary data sourced from the world bank and international monetary fund. The results of this study indicate that carbon dioxide emissions and financial development have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. Meanwhile, foreign direct investment has a negative effect on economic growth in 6 emerging market countries. This study shows how important it is to balance economic growth with environmental sustainability, while optimizing the role of financial development and foreign investment.
