Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kimia siswa melalui model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) di kelas X IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan. Data didapat melalui lembar observasi dan tes hasil belajar yang dilaksanakan setiap akhir siklus. Terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar dan ketuntasan belajar siswa. Hasil belajar dan ketuntasan belajar sebelum tindakan adalah 45,40 dan 12,50%, meningkat menjadi 58,34 dan 40,60% pada siklus 1, kemudian pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 71,05 dan 68,70%, dan pada siklus III meningkat menjadi 83,44 dan 87,50%. Tingkat keaktifan siswa pada siklus I 42,49%, siklus II 63,36%, dan pada siklus III mencapai 78,36%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kimia siswa.
