Abstract
Cattle farming is inseparable from the quality feed factor, cattle feed has a very important role in the success of livestock farming, because 60-80% of production costs are used in feed costs. One of the efforts that can be made to reduce feed costs is the use of concentrates that are combined with Pakchong grass. The purpose of this research was to study the digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, and crude fiber at different ratios of Pakchong grass and Calfeed concentrate in vitro. The research was conducted from October to November 2024 at the Animal Nutrition and Food Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Department of Animal Husbandry Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This study used a complete randomized design (CRD) method with 3 treatments and 5 replicates. The treatments consisted of P0 (Pakchong grass), P1 (Pakchong grass 80% and Calfeed 20%) P2 (Pakchong grass 70% and Calfeed 30%). The parameters observed were Dry Matter Digestibility, Organic Matter Digestibility and Crude Fiber Digestibility. Data were analyzed by means of variance if the treatment had a significant effect then Duncant's further test was conducted. The results showed that the digestibility of organic matter and crude fiber digestibility showed results that had a significant effect (P <0.05), while the digestibility of dry matter did not have a significant effect (P>0.05), the digestibility value of dry matter obtained ranged from 29.59%-30.94%, for the digestibility value of organic matter obtained around 26.01%-33.10% and for crude fiber digestibility ranged from 4.55%-19.38%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded The addition of calfeed concentrate as much as 20% in the ration along with Pakchong grass can increase the digestibility value of dry matter, organic matter, and crude fiber.
