Abstract

The complexity of the level of interests and human needs that are not limited at this time forces someone to always work without stopping, so that they pay less attention to breaks, physical and recreational activities. Both young and old mostly do not think that in addition to the presence of heredity (genetics), the accumulation of fat in the body for a long time can also cause obesity if it is not balanced with physical or recreational activities. This research is a technique or method carried out in the research process to obtain accurate data and systematic principles. In the research process outlines the stages, time, place of implementation, and tools and materials needed in data collection. The results of this study are to recommend a diet for obese patients based on rankings of gender, activity and weight. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the system produced from this study has been implemented in the form of a food menu decision support system for obese patients using the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) case study: Tebing Tinggi General Hospital, Empat Lawang Regency and Using the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method can help patients determine the menu of good food for obese sufferers and also ease the work of doctors in consulting and giving consultation results to users. The more samples used it is possible to change the recommendations.
