Abstract
This classroom action research aimed to improve chemisty learning process in X.D classroom SMA Negeri I Tanjung Batu through Teams Games Tournament learning model (TGT). Subjects in this study were students X.D totaling 29 students. This research was conducted for 3 cycles. Data collection techniques used are tests, observation and documentation. Based on this research, student learning outcomes data obtained before treatment (T0) amounted to 42.85% with an average of 70.5. In the first cycle (T1) mastery learning students is 3.84% with an average of 38.5. In the second cycle (T2) mastery learning to 6.89% with an average of 54.6.While the third cycle (T3) of student learning outcomes have exceeded classical completeness which amounted to 86.19% with an average of 82.7. The results showed a decrease in outcomes after learning implemented through TGT learning model in the first cycle and successfully improve student learning outcomes chemistry once held 3 cycles.
