Abstract

The Plaju Darat Sub-district in Palembang plays an important role in public services, development, and community guidance. The utilization of technology can support the operational activities of the sub-district, especially in delivering accurate official information. Currently, Plaju Darat Sub-district has an official website; however, the visual presentation of the sub-district’s profile through video has not been optimized. Therefore, the creation of a profile video represents an innovative step to introduce the sub-district’s potential, work programs, and various innovations to the wider community.There is a need for a multimedia-based information medium in the form of a sub-district profile video developed using the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method with a qualitative approach. This study aims to introduce the potential and innovations of Plaju Darat Sub- district to the broader public through a multimedia-based profile video. With the presence of this profile video, it is expected that the community will gain a better understanding and knowledge of Plaju Darat Sub-district and the various innovations that have been implemented.
