Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the condition of the company's financial performance in the cigarette industry in Indonesia which is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange including PT HM Sampoerna Tbk, PT Gudang Garam Tbk, PT Bentoel Internasional Investama Tbk, and PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk during the period 2014-2017 which is viewed from the liquidity ratio, solvency ratio, profitability ratio, and activity ratio. The research sample used was secondary data with a purposive sampling method. It can be concluded that PT HM Sampoerna Tbk has good ability in fulfilling the company's short-term (liquid) obligations. The results of the solvency ratio analysis show that PT Bentoel Internasional Investama Tbk has a better ability to fulfill its long-term obligations. Profitability ratio analysis shows that PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk has an advantage in the ability to generate profits. Activity ratio analysis shows that PT HM Sampoerna Tbk is superior in using assets owned by the company compared to PT Gudang Garam Tbk, PT Bentoel Internasional Investama Tbk, and PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk.
