Abstract

Effect of Addition Local Microorganism Activator (MOL) Banana Weevil on Crude Protein, Crude Fiber, and Crude Fat Content in Termite Bento Grass (Leersia hexandra). (Supervised by RISWANDI). High ruminant livestock productivity can be achieved by maintaining health and nutritional balance, because optimal utilization of feed nutrients will increase production efficiency and livestock health. One way that can be done to to ensure the availability of feed in terms of quality, quantity and continuity through silage technology. This study aims to study the effect of adding MOL banana weevil to Leersia hexandra grass silage on crude protein, crude fiber and crude fat content. This study was conducted from October to December 2024 in the experimental pen of the Animal Husbandry Study Program the Animal Feed Nutrition Laboratory. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments are P0 (control ), P1: (Leersia hexandra + 3% MOL of banana weevil), P2: (Leersia hexandra + 6% MOL of banana weevil), P3: (Leersia hexandra + 9% MOL of banana weevil). The parameters observed were the content of crude protein, crude fiber and crude fat. The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA if there was a significant effect, further testing was continued. The results showed that there was a significant effect (P<0.05) on crude protein and crude fiber, but no significant effect (P>0.05) on crude fat. P3 treatment has the highest crude protein value is 12.87% and crude fiber is 16.19%. Based on the result is treatment P3: Leersia hexandra + 9% MOL banana weevil is the best treatment which can increasing crude protein and reduce crude fiber.
