Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi berpengaruh besar terhadap kehidupan masyarakat, bukan hanya di kota-kota besar, di daerah kecil seperti contohnya Indralaya, terutama dalam bidang transportasi. Salah satu bentuknya adalah kemunculan ojek online, seperti Ojek Indralaya (OIJN), yang pemesanannya dilakukan melalui smartphone. Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat transformasi ojek pangkalan menjadi ojek online dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi di sekitar Universitas Sriwijaya. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi ini berdampak signifikan terhadap ekonomi pengemudi, dari rata-rata lima puluh ribu sampai enak puluh ribu per hari menjadi sekitar seratus ribu rupiah. Selain itu, terdapat perubahan signifikan dalam gaya hidup, pola pikir, dan cara kerja para pengemudi yang kini dituntut untuk lebih adaptif terhadap teknologi dan perkembangan zaman. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa perkembangan teknologi informasi memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap modernisasi sistem transportasi lokal. Kata Kunci: ojek pangkalan, ojek online, transformasi transportasi.
