Abstract

This study aims to prove the influence of interactive learning Pear Deck on student’s interest in learning economics subject in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. This study uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design of a non-equivalent control group design type, the research sample uses a purposive sampling technique namely class XI 4 with 37 students as the experimental class and class XI 3 with 37 students as the control class. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and observations. The collected data were analysed using normality analysed using normality analysis techniques, linearity, pearson product moment correlation, determinant coefficient, and separated variance and polled variance t-tests. The results showed that the results of the t-test data on the separated variance formula the calculated t-value (10,703) ≥ t-table value (1,993), on the polled variance formula the calculated t-value (10,699) ≥ t-table value(1,993). This data is supported by the results of the comparison of the two sample classes which resulted in an increase in learning interest in each sample (pre-post non test). The increase in learning interest in the experimental class was 32% while the increase in learning interest in the control class was 17%. This proves that there is an influence of interactive learning Pear Deck on student’s learning interest in economic subjects in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. The suggestions that can be given in this study are that students can untilize digital tools such as smartphone to access learning materials, educators can broaden their horizon and used Pear Deck media as an alternative in conveying learning information to students, schools can introduce Pear Deck media more widely to educators and students, and and for further researchers namely being able to optimize the use of Pear Deck media both free and premium.
