Abstract

Palembang memiliki kekayaan kuliner yang khas dan berakar kuat dalam budaya masyarakat, salah satunya melalui sistem penyajian ngidang. Namun, ekspresi budaya ini belum terwadahi dalam ruang makan yang representatif. Banyak restoran modern belum menampilkan identitas arsitektur lokal, sehingga pengalaman bersantap yang ditawarkan menjadi generik dan kehilangan nilai kultural. Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah menghadirkan restoran yang tidak hanya fungsional dan nyaman, tetapi juga mampu menjadi ruang yang memperkuat identitas budaya lokal, baik dari sisi kuliner maupun bentuk arsitektural. Perancangan menggunakan pendekatan arsitektur vernakular yang diwujudkan melalui bentuk modifikasi atap tradisional serta penggunaan ornamen dan material lokal. Tata massa dirancang menyebar dengan ventilasi silang dan pencahayaan alami untuk mendukung kenyamanan termal. Dengan demikian, restoran ini diharapkan menjadi ruang yang tidak hanya menyajikan makanan khas, tetapi juga membangun kembali hubungan masyarakat dengan nilai-nilai budaya lokal secara lebih dekat dan bermakna.
