Abstract
Periodic maintenance by the Public Works Office of Bina Marga and Spatial Planning of South Sumatra Province on the Pangeran Ratu - Pasar Induk road has been running for 2 years, but the road has decreased in good condition. This study aims to evaluate the success of periodic maintenance implementation to ensure a positive impact on society. The method used is descriptive qualitative. With data obtained through observation, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis uses William N Dunn's theory which includes effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy. The research results indicate that the maintenance activities on Pangeran Ratu – Pasar Induk road have not been carried out effectively. There are several indicators that cannot yet be considered optimal, such as the failure to fully achieve the goal of improving road quality evenly, limited allocation of funds and availability of technical workforce, insufficient effectiveness and consistency of field supervision, the absence of a well-integrated reporting system, as well as the lack of clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the activities
