Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Greedy algorithm in FIFA 23, particularly within the Coach Career mode, to determine the most effective tactics and player formations. The Greedy algorithm is chosen for its ability to make fast, locally optimal decisions without considering long term consequences. The developed system evaluates various tactical and formation combinations and selects players based on attributes such as overall rating, potential, and form. Simulations were conducted using Manchester United over several seasons to assess the algorithm's effectiveness. The results indicate that the system successfully constructs strategies that significantly enhance team performance across competitions including the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, and UEFA Europa League. Its short processing time and interactive interface make the system efficient and feasible for practical application in gameplay scenarios. This study demonstrates that the Greedy algorithm offers a practical solution for tactical decision-making in football simulation games.
