Abstract

Potential wind in Indonesia can be used as altemative energy. Wind is an energy source that can easily foundbecause wind contains potential and kinetic energy. The phenomenon of energy crisis happens in remote areas that are difpcult to get fiiel and electricity as the generator. One of the examples is potential swamps and lakes that have potential wind can be used as the vertical axis windmill mover to move the spiral pump. Wisely using of energy becomes not only the strong base of energy conservation. But also financial benefit. Previous research showed that highest efftciency reached the wind velocity at 10,9 m/s, discharge 1,08 m3/h. the aim of the making of wind power spiral pump will help the farmer in irrigating farm and field. Windmill used six angle and triangle variation 60, 70 and 80 to find the best result of average wind velocity at 4,3 m/s. the best result of this study is the best windmill angle of70 spins at lowest windmill velocity of 2,7 m/s.
