Abstract
Social arithmetic is one of the materials that is quite urgent and useful for the life of the students themselves, but students are constrained in understanding contextual story problems, including students still asking the meaning of the story problems, and students have not systematically solved these problems. Therefore, teachers must be able to compile interesting learning and be able to dig deeper into students' ability to solve a problem, namely applying problem-solving-based learning using the context of Muba's traditional food "Kecepan Tungkus". This research aims to produce a learning trajectory and improve students' problem-solving skills by using the context of MUBA's traditional food "Kecepan Tungkus". This research consists of 4 (four) activities, namely: (1) product design activities related to purchase prices; (2) activities of making products related to selling prices; (3) activities of selling products related to profit/loss; (4) problem-solving activities. The method used in this study, namely design research type validation studies, consists of 3 stages, namely preparation and design, design experiment and retrospective analysis. The data collection technique in this study uses observation, interviews, activity sheets and pretest/posttest. The results of this research are in the form of a learning trajectory designed to provide a deep understanding of concepts for students and become a solution in improving problem-solving skills, especially in social arithmetic material.
